In this program designed for primary and elementary school age children, Boomer shares with the students the importance of bus safety. He will read his bus safety book, Boomer Rides A Bus and review his ten bus riding rules. The first letter of each rule spells out SAFE AND FUN. He acknowledges the important role of the bus driver and entertains the children by dancing to his song, The Boomer Bus Boogie. 	Boomer Rides A Bus is a 32 page full color book (available on CD) for children. Written in poetry form, it teaches bus safety utilizing Boomer's Bus Riding Rules. The tragic death of a young acquaintance as a result of a bus riding accident served as the impetus for the book. She, Kayla, is also featured as one of the characters in Boomer's Born to Win series books. The illustrations are simple, and the message is strong, positive, and powerful. Boomer's Bus Riding Rules will find a home in the heart of the child.
	Boomer's Bus Riding Rules rules are a copy of the ten safety rules Boomer teaches in his book Boomer Rides A Bus. Boomer's creator researched the subject, attending bus safety classes and experiencing driver training testing. You will find these rules coincide with state and national guidelines for bus safety. Pictures below show the author at some of these events.
	A Boomer Bus Ambassador certificate is a document children receive for agreeing to obey the bus riding rules. Bus drivers and/or the transportation directors can award children for obeying the bus riding rules by making them Boomer Bus Ambassadors.
	Spinning the Proper Attitude is a seminar focusing on the little things that make the difference in the attitude of a child. It emphasize the importance of the positive position a bus driver and the transportation department can play. Boomer feels the bus driver is often an untapped resource. They are the playmaker on offense and the pivot position on defense. They can help start and end the day of the child in a positive way! Boomer uses a basketball analogy to explain how consistent team scoring and defense can add up to a victory. Boomer helps show the bus drivers how they can start off the child's day in the right way by choosing the right play...a positive attitude! Let's make the bus drivers "super heroes" in the eyes of the child.

In some cases, bus drivers have the students attention for two hours a day. This is an awesome responsibility but with it and opportunity to touch a child's life in a positive way. Bus drivers can be leaders in the life of a child. It's all a matter of attitude!

Let's face it, most teachers guides are boring! Not Boomer's! Boomer uses stories of real life experiences to motivate and prepare the instructor to be UP mentally, before they sit DOWN physically to work with the child. With teachers and parents having so many responsibilities in so many areas, it's hard for many to mentally shift gears to get themselves in the proper frame of mind. In many cases, some assistance would be appreciated. Boomer's guide takes care of this need by providing a motivating message for each one of Boomer's Ten Rules for Living A Positive and Happy Life. These lessons prepare the educator or parent mentally for the task at hand.

The guide is divided into 10 lesson plans. There is a poem associated with each lesson that coincides with Boomer's ten rules. At the end of each lesson, there is a question and answer section for the instructor to use as a review with the child. In addition, Boomer provides Goodwill Ambassador Certificates to award the student when the program is completed. The manual is fun and exciting. As instructors prepare to work with the child, they will find themselves feeling better about his or herself, as he or she read the simple, common sense, and practical messages. The guide will prepare the instructor for a peak performance in working with the child. While doing so, the instructor will gradually realize they are growing as well. They will discover they are growing into being an educator of attitude. It is why Boomer calls it his NOT SO TYPICAL GUIDE. BOOMER'S RULE NUMBER X

WHEN LIFE KNOCKS YOU DOWN GET RIGHT BACK UP

When a winner is knocked down they come right back up,
wiser, stronger, and they rise higher.

He was gangly and had an awkward appearance, but he believed in who he was and his ability to lead. He would run for office and lose more times then he would win. He would fall into depression over the death of his sweetheart. His doctors would tell him to go home and give up on his dreams. But Abraham Lincoln would rise again and win the Presidency of the United States. He would lead a divided country and bring it back it to a union. His leadership would define a nation and in the process give it a new identity. He would give a speech that was mocked by many but which would be remembered as one of the greatest speeches in history. Monuments would be erected in his honor. To this day there has never been a monument erected to his critics. Apparently, critics are not held in as high esteem. His message was simple and defined by his life. When life knocks you down, get right back up and finish the race.

RISE AND SHINE

When you get knocked down don't make it last,
Don't stay where you are get up real fast!
Doing it quickly is good and wise,
Sp don't stay on the ground, rise champion rise!

There is nothing wrong with getting knocked down,
The mistake is if we stay on the ground.
So get back up and get up fast,
Problems always end this too shall pass!

And you'll be stronger and wiser too,
From all the tough things that happen to you.
This is a part of life you see,
Sometimes there's a little adversity.

But you're a winner yes you are,
And this attitude will help you go far,
And your friends will like you better, it's true,
Everyone likes a positive attitude.

So when you get knock down
It might hurt a bit,
But get right back up.
And don't you ever quit!

Boomer's singers are related to the educational field. They include a health and physical education teacher and former school guidance counselor, and a retired fifth grade and music teacher. In addition, there is a former Miss Kentucky and Miss Maryland who both work in educational fields. Boomer is all about education...teaching a winning attitude!
